Question About Cymbidiums and Browning Tips

I am new to growing orchids. I have purchased my first Cymbidium. The leaves are browning from the tips down and some of the leaves are spotting brown as well. I have plenty of light and water it once a week. I keep it well drained. Since the browning of the leaves I have been watering it twice a week. No improvement. Am I overwatering or underwatering? Please advise.
