Hi Melissa,

One more thing,

Can I also spray my other dormant orchids that are outside now with a bloom booster like 10-52-10? (I diluted it to 1/4 strength.) Also, what can I do to encourage re-blooming on the orchids besides fertilizer and the cold treatment?

Hi Edouard,

Welcome back!

I would NOT spray your other dormant orchids that are outside with a bloom booster.

If in fact that these orchids are dormant (either leafless or resting) generally that is a time to give them a rest from any fertilizer (and sometimes, depending on the orchid,) even water.

As to encouraging re-blooming besides fertilizer and the cold treatment?

Find out the light requirements (foot candles) that your orchids need and provide that level and kind of light.

Everything else being equal, light or correct light can help.
