IS MY ORCHID DYING IF ALL THE FLOWERS HAVE DIED AND FALLEN OFF? HOW COULD I BRING IT BACK TO LIFE IF SO? THE GREEN LEAVES ON MY PLANTS ARE HEALTHY LOOKING...HELP!

No, Your Orchid Is Not Dying

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for your question.

No, I do not think your orchid is dying. It sounds like your orchid has just lost the flowers as would naturally happen to any plant.

The way you can get it to flower again is to learn what kind of orchid it is and then find out what kind of light, temperature, humidity that that orchid needs to thrive and re-bloom. And then provide that environment (if you can).

The fact that the leaves are healthy means that you are doing something right, so good job.

I think it might be a Phalaenopsis as this is a common orchid. If so, go to http://www.orchids-plus-more.com/phalaenopsis-orchid-care.html and read about the care of this kind of orchid.
