September 2013 Fall 2013 Orchid Newsletter
September 10, 2013
Hi,

Fall Orchid Event for My Northern California Subscribers

September 2013 Orchidaceae Newsletter #2

Hello Everyone! I know I just sent out a newsletter just last week and it is my intention to try to do so monthly.

So my apologies for crowding your email box.

The purpose of my last newsletter was to re-establish a connection with my subscribers. I also wanted to get some idea of what you all wanted me to address in the newsletters. Thanks to those of you who responded giving me suggestions. I am taking them to heart.

Quite a few people ask me to include events and that is why am sending out this newsletter so close to last one.

While I have subscribers all over the world, I do have quite a few subscribers in the San Francisco Bay Area. The purpose of THIS newsletter is to include the press release for a wonderful orchid event and sale in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco in a couple of weeks.

For many of you this event has no relevance as you live far away. But for those in Northern California I wanted to let you know. It is put on by the San Francisco Orchid Society (and yes I am a member).

Orchids in the Park San Francisco

Here is the page on the San Francisco Orchid Society's website where you can get more information:

Here is the press release:

The vendors and member do put in a display with lots of great plants and there are seminars, but this is really about shopping. There are vendors from around the state, around the country, and from Ecuador. There is also a society sales table where you can find some great plants.

If you can go, it is a small and intimate show with fantastic vendors.

I would also like to thank all of you who purchased my little orchid e-book. "Orchid Care for Easy Orchids".

Sales have been pretty brisk and I look forward to more feedback from those who purchased it.

I have two more days of selling it at $1.99 to my subscribers and then I will list it on Amazon Kindle. Once I do, they have exclusive rights for at least 3 months and a higher price as well.

So if you wanted it and have missed it so far, you have until September 12, 2013 to contact me through the contact form on my website.

It is available in .pdf format, and for Kindle and Sony e-readers.

I hope to send out a newsletter close to the beginning of October. My current intention is to focus on Fall Orchid Care. I think that might be a helpful topic to discuss. Feel free to contact me with other suggestions.

All the best till next time,

Melissa
